Extending Windchill InfoPages

Installation of OSLC Connect for Windchill extensions for Windchill does not automatically alter the Product and the Change Request InfoPages.
You will need to customize the tabs in the Product, Change Request and Part views suitably by either modifying an existing tab or adding a new tab.
This is done in order to gain visibility and access to the new OSLC attribute information.

Product InfoPage Customization

To enable the OSLC customizations for Products follow this procedure:

  1. Go to the Products details page (Browse > Product > Details)
  2. Choose to either click [+] to create a new custom Tab for the Product view or select an existing Tab in the Product view for customization.
  3. Enter edit mode from the Actions drop down menu on the top left of the view.

Then, to access the Remote Projects table:

  1. Click on the Customize button on the right top of the screen (visible in Edit mode) and choose “OSLC Connect for Windchill > Project Associations”.
  2. If it is not available in the selection list then the OSLC Connect for Windchill extension is not properly installed.
    Return to Installing the OSLC Connect for Windchill Extensions to Windchill to retry the installation.
  3. Verify that “Remote Projects” is now displayed on the page.

To access the Local Configurations table:

  1. Click on the Customize button on the right top of the screen (visible in Edit mode) and choose “OSLC Connect for Windchill > Local Configurations”.
  2. If it is not available in the selection list then the OSLC Connect for Windchill extension is not properly installed.
    Return to Installing the OSLC Connect for Windchill Extensions to Windchill to retry the installation.
  3. Verify that “Local Configurations” is now displayed on the page.

To access the OSLC Configuration Management panel:

  1. Click on the Customize button on the right top of the screen (visible in Edit mode) and choose “OSLC Connect for Windchill > OSLC Configuration Management”.
  2. If it is not available in the selection list then the OSLC Connect for Windchill extension is not properly installed.
    Return to Installing the OSLC Connect for Windchill Extensions to Windchill to retry the installation.
  3. Verify that “OSLC Configuration Management” is now displayed on the page.

ChangeRequest InfoPage Customization

To enable the OSLC customizations for Change Requests follow this procedure:

  1. Go to the Change Requests details page (Browse > Changes > Change Requests) and click on a Change Request
  2. Choose to either click [+] to create a new custom Tab for the Change Request view or select an existing Tab in the Change Request view for customization.

Then, to access the “Global Configuration” panel for Change Requests:

  1. Click on the Customize button on the right top of the screen (visible in Edit mode) and choose “OSLC Connect for Windchill” then check “Configuration Association”.
  2. If it is not available in the selection list then the OSLC Connect for Windchill extension is not properly installed. Return to Installing the OSLC Connect for Windchill Extensions to Windchill to retry the installation.
  3. Verify that “Global Configurations” is now displayed on the page.

To access the “Collaboration Links” table for Change Requests:

  1. Click on the Customize button on the right top of the screen (visible in Edit mode) and choose “Collaboration Links”.
  2. If it is not available in the selection list then the OSLC Connect for Windchill extension is not properly installed.
    Return to Installing the OSLC Connect for Windchill Extensions to Windchill to retry the installation.
  3. Verify that “Collaboration Links” is now displayed on the page.

ChangeNotice InfoPage Customization

To enable the OSLC customizations for Change Notices follow this procedure:

  1. Go to the Change Notices details page (Browse > Changes > Change Notices) and click on a Change Notice
  2. Choose to either click [+] to create a new custom Tab for the Change Notice view or select an existing Tab in the Change Notice view for customization.

Then, to access the “Global Configuration” panel for Change Notices:

  1. Click on the Customize button on the right top of the screen (visible in Edit mode) and choose “OSLC Connect for Windchill” then check “Configuration Association”.
  2. If it is not available in the selection list then the OSLC Connect for Windchill extension is not properly installed. Return to Installing the OSLC Connect for Windchill Extensions to Windchill to retry the installation.
  3. Verify that “Global Configurations” is now displayed on the page.

To access the “Collaboration Links” table for Change Notices:

  1. Click on the Customize button on the right top of the screen (visible in Edit mode) and choose “Collaboration Links”.
  2. If it is not available in the selection list then the OSLC Connect for Windchill extension is not properly installed.
    Return to Installing the OSLC Connect for Windchill Extensions to Windchill to retry the installation.
  3. Verify that “Collaboration Links” is now displayed on the page.

ProblemReport InfoPage Customization

To enable the OSLC customizations for Problem Reports follow this procedure:

  1. Go to the Problem Reports details page (Browse > Changes > Issues) and click on a Problem Report
  2. Choose to either click [+] to create a new custom Tab for the Problem Report view or select an existing Tab in the Problem Report view for customization.

Then, to access the “Global Configuration” panel for Problem Reports:

  1. Click on the Customize button on the right top of the screen (visible in Edit mode) and choose “OSLC Connect for Windchill” then check “Configuration Association”.
  2. If it is not available in the selection list then the OSLC Connect for Windchill extension is not properly installed. Return to Installing the OSLC Connect for Windchill Extensions to Windchill to retry the installation.
  3. Verify that “Global Configurations” is now displayed on the page.

To access the “Collaboration Links” table for Problem Reports:

  1. Click on the Customize button on the right top of the screen (visible in Edit mode) and choose “Collaboration Links”.
  2. If it is not available in the selection list then the OSLC Connect for Windchill extension is not properly installed.
    Return to Installing the OSLC Connect for Windchill Extensions to Windchill to retry the installation.

  2. Choose to either click [+] to create a new custom Tab for the Part view or select an existing Tab in the Part view for customization.

Then, to access the “Collaboration Links” table:

  1. Click on the Customize button on the right top of the screen (visible in Edit mode) and choose “OSLC Connect for Windchill” then check “Collaboration Links”.
  2. If it is not available in the selection list then the OSLC Connect for Windchill extension is not properly installed. Return to Installing the OSLC Connect for Windchill Extensions to Windchill to retry the installation.
  3. Verify that “Collaboration Links” is now displayed on the page.
