Configuring OSLC Connect

This configuration section is aimed for the Windchill Server administrator; contains procedures for performing all generic (no-product-specific) configurations. Some of these, however, may require the guidance/aid from a product administrator or the ELM Application administrator.
You need to take care of:
  1. Configuring License
  2. Data Migration
  3. Configuring Friends and Consumers
  4. Setting up OSLC Configuration management preferences
After you have completed these steps, you can notify the Windchill product administrators that they can start their own product-specific configurations.
This app comes with a status page (see Monitoring Configuration) that allows you to monitor the OSLC Connect settings above and helps you to determine whether you have completed them correctly or not. Feel free to access it at any point of your configuration steps and verify how's your work doing.

Rootservices URL.

The rootservices URL is a URL that is required for registering Windchill as a friend of its consumers, in other words, it is required by the OSLC Remote Application administrator for his/her application to become a friend of Windchill; make sure to share it correctly when doing the friending process. To avoid typos, you can click on the button next to the URL frame to copy it to the clipboard.
