Linking

OSLC Linking now allows creating an association between two projects. Associating two projects activates specific links, which depend upon the association type. Supported association types and related link types are explained in the user guide.

MagicDraw

Publishing from MagicDraw is now available to all users. And with it comes enhanced support for UML stereotypes.

Rhapsody

Rhapsody publication to SECollab is also available, ranging from version 8.1.4 to version 8.3.0.

Enterprise Architect

Edges anchor points are now better positioned, effectively at the limit of the linked area.

Java 8 and IBM Jazz

SECollab now runs on Java 8. As a consequence, Jazz versions below 6.0.5 are not supported anymore, since those versions do not support Java 8 themselves.

Migration notes

This version requires going through a migration. To start this migration:

• back up your data
  • if running on the Jazz platform, proceed with the backup of Jazz' data and indexes as per the tool documentation
  • while your application server is shut down, copy (or zip) the workspace folder that is used by SECollab
• deploy SECollab
  • follow the Updating SECollab guidelines
• start the migration process
  • start your application server
  • head to https://secollab.acme.com/secollab/setup in your browser
  • connect using administrator credentials
  • read and be careful to understand the implications of starting the migration
  • agree to the migration notice
  • start the migration
  • once the migration is done, head over to https://secollab.acme.com/secollab/

Note: as a reminder, the update to the Java version required for SECollab implies that only Jazz versions 6.0.5+ are supported.
