Adding a Provides Association from CLM RM with Windchill

Read this section to learn how to configure Jazz RM to provide its Requirements as OSLC Requirements to the Windchill PLM Parts.

Once such an Association has been added, Windchill users will be able to preview, search, create, and select Jazz RM Requirements as linked resources for their Windchill Parts.

Key Point: Jazz RM provides Requirements TO Windchill Parts.

  1. Authenticate with IBM Rational Doors Next Generation (RM) as an Administrator (a member of the JazzAdmins group)
  2. Browse to the RM Manage ProjectArea Screen
  3. Click the Manage Project link for a Requirements Management (RM) Project Area that is to be linked with a Windchill Product
  4. In the Associations section, click Add...
  5. Select the appropriate registered Adapter for the Windchill server that provides the Product to be linked
  6. When challenged for Windchill user credentials, provide the username and password for a Windchill Administrator and click "OK"
  7. Select the desired Windchill Product as the Artifact Container that the Association references (e.g. “OSLC AM Provider for Golf Cart” Product)
  8. Review the Manage Projects screen and its updated status to confirm that the desired Windchill Product has been linked to the desired DNG RM Project Area
  9. Click “Save”.

This concludes the provisioning of an association between one DNG RM Project Area and one Windchill Product. Repeat the procedure for each relationship that is sought.
