Adding a Provides Association from CLM CCM to Windchill

Read this section to learn how to configure Jazz CCM to provide its Work Items as OSLC ChangeRequests to the Windchill PLM ChangeRequests.

Once such an Association has been added, Windchill users will be able to preview, search, create, and select Jazz CCM WorkItems as linked resources for their Windchill ChangeRequests.

Key Point: Jazz CCM provides Related Change Requests TO Windchill ChangeRequests

  1. Authenticate with IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC) as an Administrator (a member of the JazzAdmins group)
  2. Browse to the CCM Manage Project Screen
  3. Click the Manage Project link for the Change and Configuration Management (CCM) Project Area that is to be linked with a Windchill Product
  4. In the Associations section, click Add...
  5. Select the appropriate registered Adapter for the Windchill server that provides the Product to be linked
  6. If or when challenged for Windchill user credentials, provide the username and password for a Windchill Administrator and click "OK"
  7. Select the desired Windchill Product as the Artifact Container that the Association references (e.g. “Golf Cart” Product)
  8. Review the Manage Projects screen and its updated status to confirm that the desired Windchill Product has been linked to the desired RTC CCM Project Area
  9. Click “Save”.

This concludes the provisioning of an association between one RTC CCM Project Area and one Windchill Product. Repeat the procedure for each additional relationship between CLM WorkItems and PLM ChangeRequests that is sought.
