The Windchill product or library administrators have the possibility to enable OSLC Configuration Management on a product or a library. When enabled, OSLC Local Configurations, which are also set up at the product or library level, will be able to participate to Global Configurations.
Local configurations rely on Windchill filters to resolve which parts are valid in a given configuration context. In order to ease the task of creating local configurations for the product or library administrators, the Windchill administrator is required to set up the following properties:
View filters
select the views that will be available when creating a filter for an OSLC Local Configuration.
State filters
select the states that will be available when creating a filter for an OSLC Local Configuration.
For products or libraries where OSLC Configuration Management is not enabled, there needs to be a default filter to resolve the right part versions. That is why the Windchill administrator is required to set up the following property:
Latest Default View
select the view to get the latest parts from when processing a request without any global configuration context.
Default value when not set: "Design".
