A Work Item is the fundamental unit of work in Polarion ALM. Work Items represent tasks, requirements, defects, test cases, or any other trackable unit of work.
Work Items belong to a project and have a type (e.g., requirement, task, defect). They can be linked to other Work Items, referenced in Documents, and organized in a hierarchical structure.
Work Items may have attachments and can be queried with a Polarion Lucene-based query language.
