Quality Management and Xray Support.
By default, all Jira Issues in all Jira projects are mapped to the (Change Management) Change Request resource. However, they can also be mapped to any of the
Quality Management resources (Test Case, Test Plan, Test Execution Record, Test Script and Test Result) to play a different role in the project's lifecycle. This
alternative mapping changes the nature of an Issue in the OSLC interactions with remote applications, notably by changing the available link types between them:
an Issue represented by a Test Case, for example, can now be linked to a remote application's Requirement through the validates
relationship.
Any Issue Type can be mapped to a Quality Management resource type but choose wisely before doing so. A Task
and Bug
Issue Types are by nature
Change Request resource types, this means new Issue Types must be typically created to map Quality Management resource types; but if the Xray plugin is installed, they will be
already created and they only need to be properly mapped to them. An info alert message will be displayed if this mapping is not yet done on the selected Issue Type Scheme.
