Once data sources are registered, it's time to determine what ELM users will be able to see Jira content. Jira Process data source exposes all projects in Jira having Collaboration Links (or at least all projects capable of creating them, this means all projects associated with ELM projects) and it is very unlikely that an ELM user should see or get access to all Jira projects. Given this, the recommended approach is to create an ELM User Group, for each Jira exposed project, and then associate ELM user(s) to them as required.
To know which Jira projects are exposed:
LQE Administration
page navigation, under Access Control
, click Permissions
.Data Groups
tree view, look for and expand the OSLC Connect for Jira Process Resources (TRS 2.0) entry.Jira exposed projects will be listed as child entries of the expanded node. Now, in order to create a User Group for each of them:
LQE Administration
page navigation, under Access Control
, click User Groups
.Add a new group...
link.OK
.Access Control
, click Permissions
.Data Groups
tree view, look for and expand the OSLC Connect for Jira Process Resources (TRS 2.0) entry.Add groups...
link on the Groups
panel.OK
.Repeat above steps for each Jira exposed project. Finally, to associate ELM users to required User Group(s):
LQE Administration
page navigation, under Access Control
, click User Groups
.Add a new user...
link.Matching users
area.Add
button and repeat last step; otherwise click the Add and Close
button. That's it, associated ELM users will have access to Jira projects depending on which User Groups they were included.
