A LinkModule is composed of LinkSets. A LinkSet defines a couple of source and target FormalModules.
Links enable to trace a relation between source and target Objects.
A LinkModule may be defined in the Folder in which the source FormalModule resides, but one should not make any assumption about that, as different this is a user choice.
