Design layout comparison

With a resource explorer

For certain types of designs, resource navigation is facilitated by an explorer. Resources are organized in a tree structure or a list. This applies to:

When these designs are compared, the panel on the left side of the comparison interface highlights the differences between the explorers of the compared versions.

The upper part of the panel lists the added and modified resources that exist in the target version. These resources are highlighted in green and yellow, respectively.

The lower part of the panel lists the deleted resources that existed in the origin version. These resources are highlighted in red.

If a chapter of a document has been added or deleted between two versions, all elements in the tree structure or list appearing after the chapter may be displayed as added or deleted. This is because chapters are identified by their position in the document and do not have functional identifiers that would allow a more reliable identification when the document structure has changed.

With a main table

Designs whose main content is a table do not have an explorer. Resources are already organized by views.

The standard view selector allows comparing and selecting views for both versions of a table.
