You must deploy SECollab to an application server. We recommend that you deploy to an Apache Tomcat application server ™ but you can use a different server type if you wish so. Note that only the configuration with Apache Tomcat is documented here: Deploying with Apache Tomcat - Dedicated Server.
You must decide where you want to deploy the application server you are going to use. Two choices are possible:
As far as possible, it is recommended that you deploy SECollab to the application server hosting CCM. In this case you benefit from an already existing server configuration and limit the administration tasks (opening ports, configuring a firewall, configuring HTTPS, etc.).
If you choose the application server used by CCM, go to the section corresponding to the relevant application server:
If you choose to use another application server, we recommend that you deploy SECollab to an Apache Tomcat application server ™. You can use a different type of server, such as IBM WebSphere Application Server. Note that only the configuration with Apache Tomcat is documented here.
If you choose a dedicated Apache Tomcat application server, go to Deploying with Apache Tomcat - Dedicated Server.
