You must deploy SECollab to an application server. We recommend that you deploy to an Apache Tomcat application server ™ but you can use a different server type if you wish so. Note that only the configuration with Apache Tomcat is documented here: Deploying with Apache Tomcat.
SECollab can be set up to use your company's LDAP infrastructure for users' authorization. In order to benefit from that feature, it must be enabled on a fresh setup. Migrating from SECollab's internal user management to SECollab's LDAP user management is not supported. For relevant parameters in setting up LDAP, please refer to the section Configuring the context parameters
