Hardware and Software prerequisites

SECollab’s Neo4j supported data storage general installation prerequisites are:

For a test, integration or project deployment, we recommend:

• A single Neo4j server
• An operating system officially supported by Neo4j

For Typical usage, we recommend the following technical server specifications:

• CPU (physical or virtual)
  • 2 minimum / 4 recommended
  • Intel Core i3 minimum / Intel Core i7 recommended
• Memory
  • 8 GB minimum / 16-32 GB recommended
• Filesystem
  • EXT4 or ZFS
• Storage
  • 50 GB SATA minimum / 50 GB SSD with SATA Express, or NVMe recommended

For a large production environment (Business Unit or larger deployment), we recommend a cluster consisting of at least 3 Neo4j servers to ensure high availability and dispatch of requests, each with:

• Intel Xeon processors
• 4 CPU minimum
• 32GB RAM minimum
• 1 TB SATA i7.2K RPM 6Gbps Hard Drive minimum, NVMe SSD recommended.

Remarks: The size of the storage will have to be adapted according to the volume of data injected into SECollab. According to the Neo4j documentation, an insufficient amount of RAM is one of the main performance issues of Neo4j.

• SuSE 15+ (Oracle JDK 11)
• Windows 10 (OracleJDK 11 and ZuluJDK 11)
