Preparing the Deployment

1. Locate the hostname (e.g. https://host.domain.com:8443) for each of the servers you use and serve throughout the installation. It is recommended that you use the server name rather than the IP address.
2. In the body of this document and to illustrate the installation procedure, the following URLs will be used:
   • https://tomcat.acme.com:8443 — Will serve as an example URL for the Tomcat server hosting SECollab
   • https://secollab.acme.com:8443/secollab — Will serve as an example for SECollab. You do not directly use the Tomcat server address in the event that you choose another application server

Note: whatever url you choose for your SECollab server is permanent and final, and cannot be modified. Rehosting is possible only on a per-project basis (using project export / import capability). In such case, links to moved resources stored in remote applications will be broken.
