Importing and Exporting projects with CCM

Importing projects

  1. Browse to the server administration page under the Projects tab.
  2. When deployed attached to a CCM server, you can only import a project over an existing one.
To achieve that, move the mouse over the target project, then click on the Import Project button and select the archive of the project to import.
Important: the existing project will be replaced by the project to import.
  3. Once you have selected the project to import, you can run an Impact analysis to determine :
  4. The administrator launches the import by clicking the OK button (the Impact analysis is not mandatory).
  5. Warning: Inside of Jazz, the indexing is a background task that starts running after a resource is published. Hence, even when the import activity is completed, the indexing in Jazz may very well keep running. As a consequence, it can take quite some time, depending on the volume of data, for the all imported resources to appear in the new SECollab instance.

Exporting projects

  1. Browse to the server administration page under the Projects tab.
  2. Move the mouse over the project to export, and click on the Export button in the Actions column.
  3. Click OK to launch the export.
  4. The project will be exported as a zip file. That zip file will be attached as the result of the export activity. This activity will be available in the Activities page of the exported project, in its default stream.

Exporting a project will export all the data contained in the project (Designs, Reviews, Comments, Links, Users, Activities, Reports, Configurations, etc.)
