IBM Link Index Provider (LDX) Integration

What is LDX?

IBM Link Index Provider (LDX) is a system that manages collaboration back links for artifacts when Configuration Management is enabled in IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management projects. Unlike storing back links directly with artifacts, LDX handles this separately and must be installed to display back links correctly.

Overview

SECollab provides TRS (Tracked Resource Set) feeds that allow IBM LDX to track changes to SECollab resources and maintain proper back link indexing. This integration enables bidirectional linking between SECollab artifacts and other ELM tools.

Configuration Process

The setup involves registering SECollab data sources in LDX. Access the LDX administration interface at:

https://<ldx_host_name>:<port>/ldx/web/admin/data-sources

1. Architecture Management Resources Feed

Register the AM (Architecture Management) resources feed:

2. Process Resources Feed

Register the Process resources feed:

Verification

Once successfully registered, both data sources should appear on the LDX Data Sources page. LDX will begin indexing SECollab resources and maintaining back links for artifacts referenced from other ELM tools.

Note: The initial indexing process may take some time depending on the number of artifacts in SECollab.
