Overview

Triggered helpers are automations that, rather than being invoked manually by the user, are (when enabled) triggered to automatically run based on some action in Rhapsody. Some helpers are enabled automatically, and others require the user to enable them using properties. All such properties:

· Must be set at project level.

· May be found on the Triggered Helpers tab of the Power Pack properties perspective.

Add Ports to Connector

Property: RhapsodyPowerPack.TriggeredHelpers AddPortsToConnector

Enabled by Default: Yes (see below)

Trigger: After Add Element

This helper calls Add Ports to Connector in a special mode; rather than creating ports at either end of the connector based on the selected menu, the helper creates ports based on the AddPortsToConnector property which has the following values:

· None

· Proxy Ports (default)

· Flow Ports

· Standard Ports

Auto Set Unit Status

Property: RhapsodyPowerPack.TriggeredHelpers AutoSetUnitStatus

Enabled by Default: No

Trigger: After Add Element

This helper calls Create Units in a special mode; rather than applying / removing unit status through the selected menu, the helper automatically applies/removes the status based on the white and blacklist rules.

· If no rule exists for the created element, then no action is taken.

· If the element passes the rule and is not a unit then a unit is created.

· If the element fails the rule and is a unit (which may happen if the appropriate Rhapsody ‘isSavedUnit’ property has been enabled) then its unit status is removed.

Open Project Welcome Page

Property: RhapsodyPowerPack.General.ProjectWelcomePage

Enabled by Default: Yes*

Trigger: After Project Open**

*If the ProjectWelcomePage is not empty then it is automatically opened as described in Project Welcome Page. Entering a value into this field effectively enables the triggered helper.

*Note that at the time of writing, Rhapsody checks this trigger before it has loaded any plugins, which means that the first project you open that has the Power Pack will not show the Welcome Page (since the helper is not yet loaded). This defect has been reported to IBM.

Update Element Information Boxes

Property: RhapsodyPowerPack.ElementInformation.UpdateOnProjectSave

Enabled by Default: No

Trigger: Before Project Save

If enabled, then this triggers the Element Information Boxes helper to update all information boxes.
