Pack RMM Tools Replace Remote Artifact Links |
Rhapsody Model Manager models may contain OSLC links to Remote Artifacts. These links are stored inside the model files as URLs. When a model is moved from one RMM server to another, these links need to be modified to point at the artifacts on the new server.
This helper requires a CSV Map file which contains the URL of the artifact from the ‘old’ server and its new URL after the migration.
When the helper is executed, the following property is checked for a path to a CSV file:
RhapsodyPowerPack.ReplaceRemoteArtifactLinks.CSVMapFile
If the property is empty a browser is displayed allowing a CSV file to be selected (this is then stored in the property).
Each line in the CSV should contain the old artifact URL and the new one separated by a comma, for example after migrating data in DOORS Next you could setup a view like this and export it to a CSV file:

The tool will process the model, looking for any model elements that have OSLC links and based on the above CSV file it will create new links of the same type to the new artifacts. If the new link creation is successful, the old link is deleted.
Old links are logged to a file named Remote Artifact Link Replacement.log in the current project folder.
If any errors are encountered these are displayed in a table at the end of the process. Clicking a model element in the table will locate it in the Rhapsody model browser.
