Overview

This helper provides an easy way to toggle an editable referenced unit to a non-editable referenced unit or vice versa without the need to manually browse for it.

Sometimes when a model contains a reference to a unit from another model, you want to edit it. Rhapsody provides a mechanism to do this by loading the unit as an editable reference so it remains in it current location but may be directly edited from this model. When editing is complete you usually want to add the unit back again as a non-editable reference. Both operations require you to manually browse for the unit.

Operation

First the selected element(s) are checked, only Units that are loaded as references are eligible for the operation. A further check is performed on each selected unit so the helper does not try to add (for example) an editable reference if the unit is already an editable reference.

If eligible, then the helper detects the location of the unit and performs the appropriate Add to Model Operation.
