Overview

This helper allows navigation from a port to its contract / provided / required interface(s).

Operation

The Rhapsody UI provides a properties button to easily open a features view for a contract so it may be located in the model browser. However, this involves multiple steps and if the port is read only then this option is not available at all. This helper provides easy navigation even for read only elements.

If launched from a port, then the contract of that port is highlighted in the model browser.

If launched from a ‘standard port’ then the builds a list of the provided / required interfaces. If that list has a single entry, then it is simply located in the model browser and a message to that effect is logged. If the list contains more than one element, then a UI is provided allowing navigation:

Opening / Updating the Features View

By default, the helper only highlights an element in the model browser. Rhapsody does not count that as a focus shift so any Features view currently open will not change focus. The following property may be set at project level to either open a new Features window or update any existing one when the locate operation is performed:
