Overview

This helper allows navigation between two different projects loaded into the same Rhapsody workspace.

Operation

When a model element has dependencies to other elements that are in a different model, Rhapsody’s own navigation capability will not be able to follow the dependency – even if the other project is loaded as it limits its search to only the current project.

If both the ‘source’ model and the ‘target’ model are loaded into the same Rhapsody workspace, then this helper allows the dependency to be traversed.

An example of this is in the HarmonyMBE workflow. If a new model is created using the Export to New Model helper, then the elements in that model retain their traceability dependencies, however the targets of those dependencies are unresolved since the elements they point at are from the ‘layer above’ in the original model and are no longer present.

If a dependency is selected and the target is not unresolved (that is it is in the same project) then it is simply located in the model browser.
