Demonstration |
The helper first checks that the message and its source/target are realized, if not then an error is displayed.
It then compiles a list of navigable elements from:
Target
· Any interface item in the target classifier
· Any interface item provided by the target classifier
Source
· Any interface item required by the source classifier
If there is only a single navigable element (for example if the target classifier receives the event but has no interfaces) then that element is located in the browser and a message to that effect is displayed in the log. If there are more than one navigable elements, then a UI is presented allowing navigation to:
· The event reception in the classifier
· The event reception in the provided / required interface
· The port that provides / requires the interface (or in the case of proxy ports the interface block with the provided / required feature)

By default, the helper only highlights an element in the model browser. Rhapsody does not count that as a focus shift so any Features view currently open will not change focus. The following property may be set at project level to either open a new Features window or update any existing one when the locate operation is performed:
RhapsodyPowerPack.NavigateFromMessage.OpenOrUpdateFeaturesView
