Editor Elements

Fields in the Model Element Editor user interface are added by creating <<hasElement>> dependencies from Pages or Editor Configurations to Editor Elements. Editor Elements may be:

· Stereotypes

· Tags

· Page Tags

· Page Dependencies

Adding <<hasElement>> dependencies to stereotypes and tags (of course) requires that the profile that owns them is loaded. This is best practice as it means you do not have to know what the ‘name’ of the stereotype (which might be the actual name or the Name property) or tag is – the Map Builder reads it all from the profile. If you change the name of a stereotype / tag you simply need to regenerate the map.

Page Tags and Page Dependencies allow the map to be built in a model that does not have the profile loaded, which might be useful for larger profiles like AUTOSAR. Map entries are generated from either the name of the Page Element, or its name tag (the name tag takes precedence)
