Locate in Other Rhapsody Instances

Overview

This helper allows navigation from a model element in one instance of Rhapsody to the same element in all other open Rhapsody instances.

Operation

When invoked, the helper detects all other currently running Rhapsody instances and tries to find the selected model element in each one:

· By GUID

· By Path

Locating by GUID

If a model element is found with the same GUID as the selected one in any other instance, it is highlighted in the model browser.

Locating by Path

If the model element is not found by its GUID then instead the helper checks the full path of the element. If it finds the element in this way it is highlighted in the model browser and a message is displayed in the output window that the element was found with a different GUID than the original. This option may be disabled using the following property at project level:
