Overview

Originally developed to allow the creation of models from external sources such as IBM WatsonX generative AI platform, this helper allows both importing and exporting of models from / to JSON files. This may be used to recreate a model* or part of it in another Rhapsody model, with or without the original GUIDs.

*The helper was written to use the simplest possible JSON format to make it easier to create from sources outside of Rhapsody (and so is not optimized for the ‘export and subsequent import’ use case).

Exporting to JSON may be performed on:

· The Project

· A Package

· Multiple Packages

Due to the initial use case for development of this helper, one hundred percent coverage of the model cannot be guaranteed during export. If elements are found to be missing, please report them.

Importing from JSON is always performed on the project.

Note that JSON Tools is currently still in BETA – not every model element is exported / imported
