Demonstration |
There are two menu entries to invoke this helper:
· Insert State as Source
· Insert State as Target
In either case, a new state is added at the center point of the selected transition. Two new transitions are created, and the original is deleted (Rhapsody does not allow an existing transition to be re-routed – this causes model corruption)
Any existing trigger / guard / action is added to one of the two new transitions – depending on which menu entry was selected. If the Target option was selected, then the transition properties are added to the first new transition (that is the one into the new state) so that the inserted state becomes the new target of the transition. Otherwise, they are added to the transition out of the new state. The states will very likely need to be manually moved to make the diagram readable.
