Generate Overridden Properties Report

Overview

This helpers generates a report of overridden properties.

Operation

Depending on the menu that was used to launch it, the helper gathers either locally overridden properties or all overridden properties for the currently selected element. If the Conditional Only menu is used then that list is filtered to only properties whose value starts with: ?<IsConditionalProperty>

A html report is then generated for those properties:

The tree organizes the properties by Subject and Metaclass. Properties are listed on each page.

Locally Overridden Formatting

If the Locally Overridden menu was not used, then locally overridden properties are colored to distinguish them from properties that were overridden somewhere higher up in the tree:

By default, in the same magenta that Rhapsody uses but this may be changed using the following property:

RhapsodyPowerPack.GeneratePropertiesReport.LocallyOverriddenPropertyColor

Conditional Properties

Conditional properties display both their raw value and their final value after they have been evaluated:

Viewing the Report

After generation the report opens automatically:

· Inside Rhapsody (Rhapsody 10 or above)

· In the system web browser

· Both

Depending on the value of the following property:
