*Rhapsody 10.0.1 introduced drag and drop from ELM natively and so this option is off by default and must be enabled to be used.
To use the helper simply drag and drop from any web browser onto a model element in the Rhapsody model browser. The helper automatically detects whether the dragged item is a remote artifact and creates the appropriate link.
Before this feature
may be used it must be enabled by setting the following property to true on the
project:
RhapsodyPowerPack.CreateLinkThroughDragAndDrop.EnableDragAndDropFromELM
You will find this property on the RMM tab in the RhapsodyPowerPack properties perspective.
Dragging from an
artifact in an Engineering Workflow Management server creates a remote link.
Requirement links may be created without being logged in. Other links require
authentication; if you are not yet logged in to the remote application,
Rhapsody will display the login dialog the first time you drag and drop. If
Global Configurations are in use, the link is created in the context of the
current Global Configuration in the toolbar.
The source of the
drag operation differs in each application:
Dragging the ID of
a requirement will create a remote requirement link:

By default, the link created is a Trace link, but this may be controlled using the following property (you will find this on the RMM tab in the RhapsodyPowerPack properties perspective)
RhapsodyPowerPack.CreateLinkThroughDragAndDrop.RequirementLinkType

Change management provides a useful icon which has a link to the work item, dragging that icon onto the Rhapsody browser creates an Elaboration link:

At the time of writing, Quality Management provides no way to directly access a test case URL in the web browser and so Drag and Drop is not available.
If the dragged artifact is not a remote artifact, then a simple hyperlink is created. You may drag from the address bar in the web browser or from any artifact on the web page that has a directly accessible URL (clickable elements that have things like JavaScript behind them will not work).
